DECORATING WITH EGGS AND SPHERES


Displaying with eggs and/or spheres is fun and easy to do. Whether it be for crystal pieces, decorated easter eggs or for decorative Faberge type eggs, all you need to know is the diameter of your egg or sphere.

Egg shapes are usually similar but most stands that can hold an egg can also hold a sphere. All you need to consider is the size and weight.

Stands for this purpose come in acrylic, wood, or metal. There are also special sphere shaped stands made from brass, wood, acrylic or other materials. Another type of display stand that eggs or spheres could sit into is acrylic or metal pronged stands where prongs hold the decorative egg in place.

There are also display stands that are just bases with a sphere shaped dimple in the top of the base. There is also a type of stand called a caliper stand that suspends the egg from its ends.
